    Great stuff.

If it's anything like "Scottish Canoe Classics" it will be an excellent book.

Note this is Volume One, which covers the "North". (From the border down to Shropshire apparently).

This is an excellent book which is follows the same design format as Scottish Canoe Classics. I was really pleased at the diversity of the suggested trips - great to see trips like the Lower Ribble and Morecambe Bay. I recommend it.

Wilf - can I suggest that it might of interest and a good idea to reproduce a list of the 'classic trips' here?

    Pete Knowles, Rivers Publishing.

p.s. I always find the choice of symbols on the maps is weird - Most readers would surely expect a red triangle to mean a camp site or a youth hostel?

Thanks Pete, that's very kind of you!

    Book 1 includes trips on:
The rivers Tyne, Tees, Wear, Derwent, Eden, Cheshire Dee, Ribble, Swale, Ure, Wharfe, Ouse, Trent, Soar, Penk, Sow and Severn.
The Shropshire Union Canal and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
As well as on Ullswater, Windermere, Consiton Water, Derwentwater and Morcombe Bay.

I hope there is something there for everyone!
