    Default Help with the website?

Ok, this may sound strange, but if you would have available someone to help for 20 hours with some task on the forum or the website would that be useful for the Song of the Paddle (beautiful name for a forum by the way) ?

    Cheers, Sasha

    Sasha,

Thanks for your question / offer about helping out with the site.
Sadly tho' we are fine for IT, we have a good strong team in place.

If you have website skills and wish to help someone out, how about giving some of your time and skills to a local charity, or to an educational establishment - places like that are often crying out for IT help, as paying design studios or IT engineers can be a big chunk out of already very pressured budgets.

It might help you if you had a portfolio of work too, so you could show people what you have been doing.

Is the site in your signature anything to do with your work online?

Hi, thanks for a quick answer. Yes it has to do with my current project butnot in a sence that I have developed those websites.

I wanted to offer a low tech help nothing related to web development. More like an online virtual assistant. Like some tasks that need to be done but you are always short of time for that.

I a member of an online network called Mincius Sodas (means orchard of thought in Lithuanian - you can see our wiki page here http://www.worknets.org/wiki.cgi ) and we are involved in some projects mostly non profit but also some things we do for pay. Like this Mornflake project.

Minciu Sodas is involved in supporting individuals and their dreams ( they have made a visible and real change in peoples life, including mine and other people I know personally), so this is what Minciu Sodas does with or without financial support. Mornflake is a family owned company which is willing to invest in people who help other people. So I think the circle is closed in a positive way. We try to make a win win solution for everyone, as much as that is possible in this complicated world.

Since I love nature ( am a devoted beekeeper) I decided to take part in this community and try to do some part of this project here, since canoeing is all about enjoying nature IMHO. I am really thinking and preparing to self built a canoe, thanks to inspiration from this forum

Here is an example of what I did for another online community http://www.worknets.org/wiki.cgi?HelpingUkocSmf
We have engaged an online community (sales and marketing forum) and I have collected all relevant and useful info on free marketing and sales tips and tricks. So instead of informations scattered throughout the forum I have collected it and presented it in a more usable way.

    Kind regards from Serbia,

    Sasha
