Not sure if you meant your picture to appear as a link or as a photo in its own right?

If the later was intended, I can sort it out for you.

(Nice picture anyway! Too nice actually, its pouring here today .)

Ours was the marsh country, down by the river, within, as the river wound, twenty miles of the sea.

That's a nice looking river. Lots to explore in the reeds. Probably take me ages to cover any ground in a river like that as I would be spending too much time looking around.

    Hi deano
That looks like a nice section of river.I assume its the Foss in or around York. Whats the access like and do you fancy some company next time? would it be suitable for an evening paddle.
I Started out with nothing! and i still have most of it left.

    David.
Access from a few area's located inside the ringroad north east side of York.
The Foss meets the Ouse in York and travels North East for approx 12 miles??.

I would like some company it's ok for early evening paddle.

Default Short trip update River Foss

Here is a pic of the weir that the boat navigated succesfully and I didn't there was a little more water than shown here.
I Paddled again on Thursday 25th the river level was well up though not too much.
I decided not to try the weir again but would line the boat down Good idea I think not The boat was trapped in the stopper(Is that the right terminology) and my cussion and most impotantly my bumbag with digtal camera in were thrown out and the boat filled with water (now there's a surprise).
Fortunately they all came round again and I rescued them.
Emptied the boat collected all the wet gear and paddled home againLesson learned.

The merits of the Canon Ixus digital,
After a good swim it was blown out with the air line from my compressor and then dried on the radiator the battery recharged and it still works fine.PS must cancel insurance claim.

    Regards
    Deano
