    Default Peak Paddlers Canoe Club

In the October 2008 copy of "Canoe Focus", page 54 there is a little piece about a new club, "Peak Paddlers" who paddle on this reservoir. See .

It would be interesting to know if this has any implications for canoe access to what looks like a pleasant little body of water. Anyone know?

PS - nice to see Wilf's rescue article on the back page!
One year olds want four meals a day: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Paper...
Two year olds want whatever is most dangerous to get to... (Then to throw it on the floor.)

    Default Peak Paddlers Errwood Reservoir

I am sorry but Errwood reservoir is used solely by Errwood Sailing Club and Peak Paddlers. Currently Peak Paddlers Membership is oversubscribed and therefore closed for the time being. If you are intersted in joining Peak Paddlers please watch our website for membership reopening

    Default Canoe access peak district

there is little canoe access in and around the peak district. but there is many acres of open water . this is in the majority in ownership by the water utilities . erwood is owned by united utilities, ladybower derwent and howden and carsington by severn trent , coombs and rudyard by british waterways.
there is access on the river goytt lower down around marple where manchester have their club site , there is a short stretch on the derbyshire derwent at bamford available for groups with a small fee payable to cover costs of building the stairs .
