As of this time this lake is empty pending repairs to the dam/roadway which I am informed are coming to a close. Once finished the lake will be allowed to refill naturally then will resume with boat traffic as before ie speedboats, ski and sailing. Dont yet know canoe access
    Hind sight is always 20/20

Entrust Education Services (who run the four Staffordshire County Council Outdoor Centres, Chasewater, Laches Wood, Shugborough and Standon Bowers) offer Go Canoeing taster sessions on the reservoir, during the warmer school holidays. At the moment there is no public paddle sport access to the water, particularly as there is a jet ski and water ski/wakeboarding club who use the water. Entrust also offer Go Canoeing tours on The Trent from Shugborough outdoor center
