    Allow you to canoe over this fantastic area of the peak district?? There is fishing...

    ...I have seen people paddling on the very top lake, Howden, where the road ends at Kings Tree. Admittedly they were very discreet and it was fairly early in the year...

    Your chances of paddling on any other part of the reservoir, slim I would say...I asked about paddling on Ogston reservoir (also Severn Trent) but was told definately not. Of course, if you sail a dinghy or windsurfer that's fine

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, maybe we should have a 'mass paddle', it worked for Kinder, maybe it could work for the Upper Derwent Reservoirs!!!
