    I reckon this may have changed recently as the United Utilities recreation map shows fishing is now available. It must be from the bank though rather than canoe due to the access. You will need a permit though as with all UU sites, so might be worth phoning them up.

    Sorry, not that canoe related but hopefully useful to some.
