Default Forum subscription email alerts help

I'm trying to subscribe to the classified section to get updates about boats for sale. I've asked for daily email alerts from the drop down menu when I subscribed but they aren't getting through. Several boats have been posted recently but I'm not receiving emails about them. Can anyone help me with this please?

I don't think it works that way. You get an email about any thread you have posted in when someone else replies to that thread.

I’m sure you can set a notification to get email alerts to sections. The first thing to check is do you get email alerts to threads you’ve posted on? If you don’t then the problem might be the forum emails going to a spam filter.

Hi John, I do I get alerts to threads I’ve posted on, so I got an email alerting me to your post. I’ve tried unsubscribing from the For Sale forum then resubscribing and choosing daily email alerts from the menu but no luck I so far. Let me know if you have any more ideas. Cheers, Tim

Doesn't everybody check every single new post numerous times a day?

No, that'll just be me then!

Not sure what the problem is I'm afraid.

I don't get alerts anymore? Am I using the wrong soap?

You’ll only get one email a day and only if an advert has been posted. Not sure what time it goes out. I’ll subscribe to the section and see if I get anything.

Soap? Worth checking your spam settings. All it takes is for you to mark one email notification as spam and they can all get blocked.
