Hi Smelly, welcome to the forum. It's a good place to be and there's a plethora of knowledge here that you can tap into.
Whereabouts in Somerset are you ?

    Hello and Welcome!

As you've already seen with OM above, there are quite a few Song of the Paddlers down your way. Do you have your own canoe yet?

Being new to this you'll have questions, so fire away.
If you need help, I'm not so far away near Bridgwater.

1963 was a long time ago, I'd have thought you'd be healed up by now

Are you in a local scooter group by any chance e.g. Bridgwater...?

Just wondered if you might know my brother in law who's big into scooters, but he's in the Bridgwater contingent.
What canoe have you got ?

I won't put his name on an open forum, but he's been known as mouse all his life and he's 6'7" tall. You'd remember him if you've met him.

As an aside (although welcome, Smelly ), on the subject of two-wheeled transport, did anyone in Somerset see a contingent of about 50 Hells Angels last weekend? I was stuck behind them on the M5 southbound at about 8.00am on Saturday for about 20 minutes, nobody dared try to overtake them. Thankfully, they turned off at Strensham Services. I Googled the name on their jackets when I got home, the Outlaws, and apparently they're not as hard as 'proper' Hells Angels... of course if I'd known that at the time I'd have turned off at Strensham and told them off for being so inconsiderate towards other road users.

    Sorry for the interruption.
