Default Another last minute evening - Basingstoke Canal, Tuesday 13th Aug

    Hey folks

Colt Hill wharf near Odiham, Basingstoke Canal.

    6.30pm tomorrow, Tuesday Aug 13th.

Either paddle to Castle at the Greywell end, or towards Barley Mow, depending how we feel I guess.

I was just about to say, I'll be there, but I see i already am!

Might there be a Maj too?

What are folks' dining plans? I fancied a burnt burger on the banks, but will go with the flow.

    Not heard back from Maj.

My cooking gear is all packed ready for Sweden, but very happy to sit eating pasties and stuff whilst you cook.

Just had call from Graham seems he is free this evening, so we will both be joining you.
Gives me the day to think about food choices.

    See you all this evening.

It seems that my freezer has offered up a dearth of stuff to fry, so I shall probably be on petrol station rations after all.

Another excellent, gentle bimble up the canal in perfect conditions. Highlights included Mal's birthday cake (nice one, Maj), countless bats and some shooting stars. A fine way to spend Tuesday evening.

As much as I had very much hoped to have 'popped over' and said hello.... and of course, 'Happy Birthday' with some freshly baked Batty Birthday Cake (There's at least half a bat in every bite! ) ......

I've recently been engaged with some serious family matters that have very much pinned me down.

    It's life....

    With best regards,
    Mark
