Thread: Hello from East Lothian

    Default Hello from East Lothian

I've been a lurker on this site for a number of years even though I didn't have a canoe IIRC it was the bushcraft UK site that made me first aware of this site. I'm in to wild camping and general outdoors activity but had only been in a canoe once about 30 years ago. A recent trip to the Sierra Nevadas in the US and the opportunity to use an open canoe again has got me in the mood to make the jump and get myself my own canoe.

I'm based in East Lothian and there are a couple reservoirs within 10 miles of my house that I think would be good for a paddle and I like the idea of bringing together my love of camping and do some touring.

I look forward to delving further into the site and maybe asking some daft laddie questions from time to time.

Hi there from just over the bridge in fife
It is not that I object to the work, mind you; I like work: it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours.
