Default Hi from the Clogher Valley Northern Ireland

Just purchased my first canoe, a mad river 14ft. and having a good time on the river Blackwater in County Tyrone with my brother in law as bow paddler.
After a rocky and wet start we are starting to find our rhythm and have paddled the Blackwater not far from source out side Clogher on the Fintona road, through Clogher into Augher and down to Aughnacloy Moy Bridge.
The plan is to do all the river to Lough Neagh and to talk the brother in law into buying his own boat 😂.

Welcome to the forum. I have paddled from Augher to Aughnacloy, and just above Caledon to near Benburb, (above the triple weir) and from Benburb to the lough. If you scoll down and look for tags with "Capri-ni" you can see some blogs.

Hope to see you on the water sometime.

Look out for the Ulster Canoe Festival at the Share centre in September. Its just down the road from you.

    Hello and Welcome!

Some nice rivers over there, only a couple of which I've ever visited. The Norn Iron paddlers are a friendly bunch, pretty active, and very welcoming. Even that Big Al bloke
