Thread: Drop Stitch floor

    Default Drop Stitch floor

I have a AE convertible, the floor is just the pvc layer then a lilo type base. for such a good inflatable it's pretty poor IMO.

They now do a drop stitch floor accessory but over 200, makes the base nice and solid.

They haven't dropped in price which I would have thought as drop stitch becomes more popular the price would come down.

Is there a way around this seemingly extortionate price problem?

On my Advanced Frame I've gone with the backbone after trying that and the dropstich floor. Has the advantage of putting a slight V into the hull which helps with tracking, the floor on the other hand gives it a hard flat bottom and tendency to scoot sideways in the slightest bit of ow wind not directly on the prow or stern.
