Default Ghillie kettle Group buy 2019

    Ghillie kettle

    Hi Folks,

I have a 40% off group buy from Ghillie kettles.
It is for the non anodised and hard anodised kettles and kits.

This dose not included any hobo stove's (unless it is apart of a kit), silver anodised kettles or the Mkettle's.

    Here is Thier website

    https://www.ghillie-kettle.co.uk/?ur...-kettle.co.uk/

And a 5 P&P. Will also be added to any order.

Any questions please feel free to ask

And I let Ghillie where to send your order.
I've been doing this for years with this and other group buys.

Hmm, I'm thinking about this as I was going to buy a stainless Kelly Kettle, rather than anodised. I'm not as keen on the idea of an anodised one, but have I got that wrong?

Mmm sorry what's the question. The Kelly kettle is made in China. And the hard anodised is made her in Britain.

I'm not averse to products made in China having worked there myself, like anything some are good some not so much. But I do like to buy British products if I can and I didn't know the Kelly was made there, so thank's for the tip. I'll have a peruse on the Ghillie website Being half Irish I was kind of swayed that way too as it's still I believe an Irish company?

My question was that my thoughts were that stainless steel was better, both from a sturdiness and health aspect, as I try to avoid aluminium but don't have anything anodised, to compare, so I'm not that sure?

    Ahh I see.
Hard anodised is supposed to as strong as steel.
Kelly used to have its anodised kettles made at Ghillie (or spinform as it was known). Ghillie just started to make its own kettles some years ago. When Kelly went to Eastern Europe to get its kettles made. But they soon returned to spinform to make their kettles.

This was until Kelly went to China to get its steel kettles made. Ghillie can't make steel kettles due to the cost. It would be way more than getting them made in China.

Brilliant thanks for that, I understand a lot more now too, having read up a bit. I must admit I do prefer the look of the Ghillie, not keen on that green plastic bung on the Kelly Kettle . . . which is probably a blasphemous thing for an Irishman to say!

Sandbag, thanks for organising the group buy. No pics from me at the moment (the back garden is boring) but daughter will be taking hers to Eigg next week.
