Thread: Where can I sail

    Default Where can I sail

    Hi
I have been around canoes and sailing since I was a lad.
I have recently rigged my trad boat with a sailing seat and mast step as I want to re enter the coaching system.
Up until now we have been using a downwind rig only.(Scottish Lochs)
My question is about where to sail, I am looking for a lake/gravel pit etc where I can get some practice in for me and my daughter.
We are near Watford in Hertfordshire.
    Looking for somewhere reasonably local.

Milton Keynes canoe club is based at Caldecotte lake - which is also used by a local sailing club.

This club is local to me and is a very broad church. Nice location too.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I managed to get onto a lake in Rickmansworth.
The wind was very variable today but allowed me to
    Check out the rig.
