Cool Greetings from the Sonoran Desert

Howdy, I'm finding this forum very informative and well-managed. I'm a Yank living in Arizona, USA. Getting back into canoeing.... don't know what I want to do when I grow up Currently, planning an open canoe Yukon River expedition. Talk to you soon. ~Art Karts Huseonica

    Hello and Welcome!

An interesting part of the world for a canoeist to come from I guess, being a tad dry! Though obviously you've got the biggest "ditch" of them all.

Would be great to hear about paddling in your part of the world, and certainly to hear how your Yukon trip goes.

I've still no intention of growing up. I've managed to put it off for almost three score years and ten. The few folk I know that have grown up are sad and boring individuals.

Glad to have you along on Song of the Paddle and I look forward to reading about some of your canoeing adventures, small or large.

Thanks John. We have several reservoirs/lakes within a two-hour drive. All flat. My teammate Lauren and I will do most of our training on these for our 2020 open canoe Yukon expedition.

    Welcome to the forum.

I'm quite glad we have a little more water than you have. My nearest river is five minutes drive away and I've always got the sea a minute away if i'm really in need of a paddle.
