Default Fotheringhay Castle - some history

I've been blogging trips past Fotheringhay for over a decade now - for example

All that's there now is a large grassy mound and a lump of masonry surrounded by railings.

Now, thanks to John Abbott who runs a Facebook group called Wild Nene I can give you some idea what it might have looked like back in the days of Mary QoS's execution.

Lot's of good stuff on the Wild Nene FB group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/9613...73253/?fref=nf

    Cheers, Dick
