    Default Hallowscreen...The Video Competition Final

Not really a blogg as such, but a thank you to all who made the weekend happen, hopefully others will add a few pics.
Firstly the weekend could not have happened without Jax and Di, thanks ladies for preparing the camp ground beautifully.
It wouldn't have happened either without an enormous amount of help from Juliet and Cankay in sourcing a marquee and then decorating it brilliantly.
Thank you to the Judges who made it a special event
And of course thank you to all the film makers who entered the competition and made a great night for us all

    The results are in
    1st Place Dougoutcanoe Algonquin
2nd Place Cankay Tiber Descent Preview
3rd Place Saarlak River Dee 2018

Can I just say, every one of the films was appreciated by the audience, thank you to all those who entered the competition. I will put the full list up tomorrow.
Even thanks to Kmac who spent the evening Hot Dogging for us....at least I thought that's what he said
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

    Im not really milking it????

    Reposted from the original blog.

I feel a speech coming on!

Traditionally, in the Oscars, the winners thank directors, fellow actors, script writers and on and on and on.

To start the tradition for the Quentins:

I feel deeply indebted to the cast, all of whom I could not have done the video without.

Thank you ChrisB, Mountain Goat (Pete) and Mike.

The animal department for providing a lifelike moose and adding to the drama by it nearly taking out Pete's hammock and tarp.

Mike for putting up with the lack of black bears.

Thanks must also go to the cameraman (oops, that's me)(sorry)

Thanks to the editor (Oh, that's me again).

Thanks to youtube for hosting my video.

Scriptwriter and story teller must receive thanks. (Sorry, that's me again)

The weather men and women must receive thanks for providing sunny weather for 9 of the 10 days.

The 4 tea boys for continuing the traditional tea stops along the 100's of kilometres, namely Mike, Pete, Chris and Doug.

The Canadian Authorities for providing such an excellent location for our paddle.

Thank you Panasonic for the optics and digital imaging.

Films always have Gaffers, focus pullers, continuity departments, lighting and sound recorders. I must thank them all, although I don't know where they come into this effort.

It was with some regret that I cannot thank the make-up department, they didn't turn up, but I don't think they could do much with our ugly mugs (sorry Pete, Mike and Chris).

A special thanks is reserved for Mayo Bren, who dedicated a lot of time and more to the success of Hallowscreen. Thank you Bren.

Jules and Jon put in a lot towards the success of the weekend by sourcing and decorating the marquee and much more. Sorry I missed you out on my original speech

Ill go and hide now, I imagine paparazzi will be hunting me down???

This was a spooky hedgerow tree near my tent. Hoooooo!

Not quite so spooky in daylight.
