    Default Canoe Storage Rack

I finally got the jungle cleared so I could install my canoe rack.

Although it doesn't look over-engineered, I put all my weight on the middle of the horizontals with very little deflection; the canoe didn't flex it at all.

I should be able to fit three boats on it and have planned a roof and front but if I ever get round to that, who knows.

It's unistrut; hot dipped galv rather than BZP so should outlast me. Fixed to the brickwork with thundebolts with 3mm thick penny washers

Most electrical wholesalers stock it but I bought from www.directchannel.uk.com

The materials for a three canoe version (I haven't fitted the other arms yet) cost a little under 80 but I already had the bolts and fixings needed.

Cheers Chris. I wanted something that is adjustable and expandable and unistrut lends itself very well to this kind of thing.

So is the canoe just balanced on the centre strut?

    :-) No !

There's two horizontals, a little over six feet apart
