Default Halloween on the Norfolk Broads 26-28th October 2018

The OCA are returning for a fourth year on the last weekend of October to finish our year at Barton Turf . A great weekend of paddling, good company and good food and normally we are blessed with great Autumnal weather. Ideal for everyone of all abilities who will enjoy some of the best flat water paddling in England. A weekend of exploring the Broads, local rivers and canals with the opportunity to spot otters, Kingfishers, Marsh Harriers and much much more.

Book direct with BTAC Booking form here. http://www.btac-services.co.uk/rallies-club-visits/

    Main website here: http://www.btac-services.co.uk/

Come along, you know it makes sense!

You can self cater or be catered for. Do book in for the Group supper at the Centre on the Saturday evening; always a good social get together with likeminded folks.

Are you around 13th or 20th October if I were to arrange a WCHA Cam paddle?

You can come along to an OCA event as a "Prospective Member" although membership is only 15 pa. Download the booking form and send it off to BTAC with your details.

It is always a great event with great paddling.

Thank you. I misread it and presumed it was a SoTP event.
    Thank you again.

I'm interested. How does payment work, as the form says it can be sent electronically (via e-mail) but must be accompanied by payment (either cash or cheque)? Can I pay when I get there, if I send the form to confirm meals etc.

Have e-mailed BTAC, but no reply as yet

    If anybody can help

    Thanks

They are normally out and about on the water or around the site during the day so you may get a reply later. As long as they know you are going and have pre-booked camping. meals etc you can pay on arrival.

    13th - NO
20th - Yes - so long as I can get away at a decent time to swap boats on the van and load up a weeks worth of gear and ballast.

Their web-site suggests 17:00, but I'm sure some one with a definitive answer will be along soon. Would like to know too, so I could get set up in the light.

I normally get there about lunchtime Friday and go for an afternoon paddle. Some will be there from Thursday.

Great to see some new faces.

Ok Hopefully I am going to get a pass out to join you, certainly during the days (But I would prefer to camp and be part of the whole thing)
What time is the normal "Grand depart" on the Saturday morning ?
Im itching to get my new Firefly out on the water, as it hasnt been wet yet

If you can try and get to Barton Turf for 9am on Saturday we would have done breakfast by then. I will have worked out which paddle we are doing for the day; it all depends on the wind and tide direction

Leave it on the car until you know the planned trip as we may be driving off and then paddling back to Barton Turf.

Just a message to all those who attended to wash and dry your canoes thoroughly before putting them on another river. KILLER SHRIMP!!
