    Default DIY saddle

Since a lot of people seem to be very happy with canoe saddles (stingray for example), I wanted to give that a go myself. Seeing the price for the stingrays , I thought I could do a similar thing much cheaper...
So off I went to the local DIY shop to buy a 10 high density foamboard of 6 cm's thick. Cur and glued 3 pieces together with PU-glue to give me an 18 cm thick block. Then it was just a matter of using a woodsaw and a coarse rasp to shape the block. Finally smoothed out the surface with sandpaper.
As usual, I dove straight in without taking pictures of the WIP... Just a foto how it is now. I will test it tomorrow

    That looks about right.
