    Default Outfitting canoe sails

What’s everyone using for the deck mounts for their sails?

For a downwind sail, I use the Endless River kit: thwart with hole, flexi PVC foot glued to hull, canoe poles and sail.

similar to Mal but swapped out pvc book for rubber mount, as it is easier to get the pole into.

When I went to the shop to get the sleeve, he tried to convince me to get the rubber version, but I had set my heart on the sleeve as it would fold out of the way when loading bags into the canoe. He was right and i ended up changing it.

I made a wooden clamp that fits onto the seat. You don't need a mast foot with it.
