    Default 3 lakes challenge

A group of us are looking at doing the 3 lakes challenge in July, we are looking at doing the UK wide variant of Loch Awe, Lyn Tegid and Lake Windemere rather than the 3 UK lakes one.

    This one:

Due to the logistics of transporting my canoe we are looking at hiring a trailer with 4 canoes in Herefordshire and stopping on the way up to Wales in our minibus to collect it.

We have 2-3 support drivers to cover the 1050 odd miles in 4 days and have the route planned out.

Just wondering if anyone else has previously done this and if you can offer any advice/tips or even recommendations on who can offer a good price on canoe rental etc (we have contacted most of the main companies on the Wye as this location is on the way up)

Young Tobey did it with his dad, Darren, last year, supported by mum Lynne: http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/for...and-Llyn-Tegid

    Thanks all.

On a side note does anyone know of any canoe hire companies on route between London and Bala, Wales that would offer a better price on a 3 day hire of 4 canadian/open canoes + equipment and the rental of a canoe trailer to transport them on (with our own minibus) for cheaper than 800.00?

We are trying to keep costs down to a minimum due to it being a charity event that we are doing so any way that we can keep costs down would be great.

    Thanks
