    Hello and Welcome!

The Great Ouse and the Nene aren't too far away, so there should be plenty of places to paddle. Both are better in their middle reaches than as they near the coast, when they become large drainage ditches!!

    Enjoyed your first blog.

Hi, as you are from the Spalding area - have you been in/ know anyone who has been in the new river drove/ london road stretch of the Welland up to west marsh road? It is on my "to-do list" and was hoping to climb up the bank at the lock there and wheel across to where the water taxi sets off and do the coronation channel back to London road.

Hello Bigzee... Yes I have paddled from the Yacht club to the lock at west marsh. Its a nice paddle. you can also go around the coronation channel to springfields. If you are feeling energetic and travelling light you could paddle down to west marsh lock and walk around to the springfields bit and paddle back again.

( if you geocache then i have 3 placed along there)
