    Default Hello from Staffordshire

    Hello All,

I live in East Staffordshire, and am thinking about buying a Gumotex Palava for use on local canals and rivers.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

Ay up chief, I'm in West Derbyshire. Where they play that odd football before Lent.We can't be far apart!

Not too far - other side of the Dove! Near where they brew the beer.

I can heartily recommend the Trent and Mersey at Willington, either direction, east or west. Doddle put in and parking on Castleway. Really easy.
Just get yourself afloat, it's grand. I'm no expert, a newby myself.

    Hello and Welcome!

The Palava has a good following, as its one of the most capable of the various inflatable canoes available. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Have a nose on Paddle Points for ideas on other places to paddle.

Paddle Points - where to paddle

Thanks Mal. I used to have a rigid open canoe many years ago (which I now wish I'd never got rid of) but the desire for something easily transportable is pushing me down the inflatable route. I really want a single paddle open canoe, so the Palava seems like the best option.

    Cheers,

    Chris.
