Default Wild camping by the Thames

I'm planning a multi-day kayak camping trip along the Thames but can't find campsites at certain points. Is wild camping possible around the abingdon area?

Clifton Hampden a few miles past Abingdon has a campsite but haven't found a website for it yet. Known as Bridge House Caravan Park - some detail here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/re...asp?revid=3046

Thanks. The Thames seems to have a fair few campsites but we may well need to find somewhere just above, or maybe below, abingdon if we reach our limit for the day around there.

There was an article in the very last printed edition of Focus, the BCU's magazine, which they stopped printing as soon as I joined...brilliant.....but it had a wonderful piece on a lady called Teresa Yonge, who canoed the Thames over a period of several weeks, often camping wild?????????

Been a dream to do since reading that........at 61 I'd better get on with it!
