    Default Castle Mill Stream Oxford

Can anyone help me with this little loop in Oxford please?

Planning a trip around Oxford hoping to take in Bulstake Stream but maybe include a paddle back up the Castle Mill Stream on the way back. Is this practical these days? I recall an awkward climb round at one point, is there a way round this?

    Thanks in advance.

There is a climb around one weir, but I managed it when we paddled the loop last Autumn.

Thanks Fran. Is this where you have to club a wall about 4 ft high and haul your boats after you and then there is a very low bridge? Or am I thinking of somewhere else?

That's the one - we clambered up the wall and hauled the boats up the sluice. The bridge in question is low, (but not 'very low' by my standards - i.e. didn't scrape my gunwales )

That's great thanks Fran. It all comes flooding back. Now I just have to remember which left turn I take to get back onto the Thames.
