    Default Extended Edition of 'Canoeing'

    Canoeing the Second Edition

A heads up. The first edition sold over 5000 copies but we decided on extra content for the new print run making it a 'second edition'.

To be very clear to folk it is the original book with a few minor changes plus 27 pages of new content and over 100 extra pictures. We have expanded the section on children, added new solo rescue techniques, more on improvised rafting and sailing, examples of tracking and lining on major expeditions, some inspirational canoe journeys in Scotland and North America and a new section on ‘vision patterns’, a method for creating a mental map of a rapid. So really an extended edition rather than a rewrite of the original. Oh and we have got me off the cover which may increase sales.

Signed copies of the book will be available direct from myself from the start of May. I am including post and packing free so it goes for the cover price of 17.99

Detail are on my website: http://www.raygoodwin.com/RayGoodwin.com/The_Book.html

Out of interest if you buy from Amazon then I only get 70 pence a book Mind I buy other stuff from Amazon myself so can't really complain.

I'll be doing a review of this update as soon as I can find time to read it properly...but for now let it suffice to say that it was already good, and has only got better...

    Hi Ray,

Is there something wrong with your site as I get a warning that this page is not on the server when I go to your book page.

I think I have fixed it . Give it another try.

    Ordered !

Like many others, I have the 'first edition' but it is so useful that I'm passing it to my 16yo to own & learn from. Obviously, I need a replacement

ps - couldn't order via the website so sent a PayPal payment with address in comments.

I did suggest she get a second copy to keep pristine at home (always worth a try)

Just relieved you didn't use it for kindling.

    Hi Jason

I can ship a signed copy to the States. Just checked postal cost and it is 13.05 plus cost of book at 15.00 (this is discounted from 17.99) so a total of say 28.00 You can use my email Ray@RayGoodwin.com to pay via PayPal. It is a standard delivery and they reckon it takes 5 to 7 days.

From the States it is cheaper to get copies from Amazon.com (unsigned)

    Hope that helps
