    Smile Greetings from Kent

Hi everyone. My name is Matt. I'm married with two kids, 11 and 5. Only took up canoeing in the last year, but really getting into it. I live in Kent, and we're a bit short on whitewater, so it's all been flatwater so far. Still, really enjoy spending all sunday outdoors, on the river. Peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings. Paddling an Old Town Charles River, which has been great for the family so far.

Really like the reviews section of the website. Not found anything like this from UK paddlers. The only other reviews i've found are on http://www.paddling.net/ which is an american site, and they do seem to have some odd ideas. I mean, I guess there's no law against using a kayak paddle in an open but it does seem to miss the point rather. Great to read a sensible review of the Old Town Pack which answered some of my questions. Perhaps we should all try and add to this section with reviews of our own boats.

    Hi Matto

Good to have you here. Sounds like you will have lots to contribute.

The plan is for any reviews that are done to be copied over to the main site along with any articles that would be handy to keep local. I definitely think there is a lot to be said for real life reviews. I have read the US ones and as you say they do seem keen on using a Pack with a double bladed paddle.

Good link. From the looks of it aimed at the same target audience as this one just in different continents. Still a lot of relevant info I expect.
