Just spent a long weekend with my son, beside the river Tavy on Dartmoor in this. River too low to paddle, but we had a fine time nevertheless with fluid of another kind . We don't care for the minimalist approach .

Looks very comfortable basecamp indeed but, as has been said, I'd not want to portage it !

Carry it?? I'd need to bring a second canoe just to get it onto the water!

After some 9 hrs of paddling at The Henley Festival, with some wee three short stops in between....

I was glad to get mae heed doon!

Laying there amongst the bugs and stuff, over what felt like a nest of Hedgehogs!

    Loved it!
Keep yer paddles wet, and powder dry....

Meanwhile, next door I slept in blissful comfort on my Thermarest cot, above the bugs, worms and hedgehogs. Some blinkin' midges ate the top of my head though...

Covering as many malmiles as possible before being distracted by the pub!

    Yeah, yeah...
I saw the opportunity for tranquility that night, it's just that I sleep better without it, that's all!

    Sunday morning and looking good!

My kind of camp site - a wild-ish one!
Leave nothing but footprints.. and in some cases probably best to brush those over eh! and take nothing except photographs...and a few souvenirs of course!

So, on now to the secret of good night's sleep whilst out in the Boondocks....somewhere just above Henley On Thames! - (How wild-ish do you want it! )

Be ruthless, just steal your daughters favourite pillow!

This is Ken. Have you met Ken? Her's just bad, very, very bad!
