Default Custom Bent Shaft Paddles For Sale

    Hi all,

Earlier in the year i posted some pictures in the self build canoes section of the forum regarding my custom built bent shaft canoe paddle. after so much interest in the paddle, and myself starting a new job that gives me more free time, i have decided to start taking orders for my paddles, as - custom made to your requirements - double-bent shaft canoe paddle.

My paddles are made with a 7 degree bend in the throat of the paddle, to give extra leverage in the water, thus allowing you to put far more power down than a traditional straight shaft paddle, yet this still allows you to maintain the ability to execute turning strokes when soloing, giving a clear advantage over a 14 degree bent shaft paddle.

My paddles also feature a unique second bend in the shaft, which is a very subtle bend on in the lower grip region, to incline the lower grip region backwards slightly to reduce strain on the wrist when paddling for long periods of time.

They are constructed from laminated black walnut and hard maple, all of which is hand picked to ensure the finest quality. The paddles are then finished with a series of different oils to give the desired glassy finish, whilst still maintaining the feel of a true oiled paddle.

They are all carved and finished completely by hand by myself, with attention being given to the finest of detail to produce paddles that turn heads wherever you go.

    Here is the finished product:

If anyone is interested then please post here so that i can get an idea of numbers, as my paddles are made to order to your precise measurements.

The price is 300 due to the fact that the materials used in the paddle are the finest quality timbers, and these paddles are built to the highest standards.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

thankyou all for your appreciation, the time making a bent shaft and the materials use are the reason for the price being as it is

Very very lovely paddles and I'm sorely tempted but i'm not short of paddles and they are just a little too rich for me! :-(

I completely understand the cost given the materials and craftsmanship but, if I was to sink another 300 into a paddle it would be another carbon one I think!!

Good luck in your endeavours: they're almost too beautiful to use!!

Hang onto your paddle. And if you hit any rocks, don't hit 'em with your head.

Hi everyone, just an update for you all, after discussions with my materials supplier, i can now offer you a price of 200 per paddle, providing i receive around 15 orders together, as this would allow me to purchase materials in bulk, therefore allowing me to pass this discount onto you as customers.

if anyone is interested let me know and i will put a running list on here to keep you all updated.

    Evidence or it didn't happen.

Best to wheel and deal via PM and not accuse a guy in public. If you think you are being dealt with unfairly contact a Mod or Admin and we will look at it.

    hi loyd,

thanks for your input. i do not feel the need for a moderator to look at this. here is the proof on coversation, it did happen. I was not accusing here is what was said. I was just a little disappointed, didn't mean to cause any offense.

    regards
