    Default Homemade firebox

Just knocked up a cheap (7 ish) firebox
A small stainless dish from Pound shop, (2 for a quid) & a stainless cutlery holder as seen in the picture 5 for a good quality version. Drill 2 holes in the dish and holder (my holder already had drilled holes in the bottom, bolt together.
Hey presto, you can also use tent pegs through the holes for supporting small pots. Have used it about a dozen times now, burns really well, & because of the dish it doesn’t leave a scorch mark on the ground. I can store kindling & lighting gear inside too. This was inspired by Retro’s beer keg version which we used to great effect on a wild camp a few weeks ago. The only downside I could see between them both is that Retro got to drink the beer out of his before he made it…..
    It’s a good job I don’t drink ,is all I can say…..

Well executed Steve and far enough away from my design you don't infringe my strict copyright regulations.

That looks pretty sweet, but is there a post of Retro's keg firebox? I've got a keg I consumed a while back and have been holding onto to convert to a firebox. Just not sure whether to try fit a door, floor, leave the pan lid or not... so many options.

    Nice one Steve, like it!

Does it allow for "wood smoke gasification" though?
