    Default bcu agm?

Will anybody be going to the AGM?
I notice proxy forms for voting have to be in by this Wednesday.
Anyone asking about access would be welcome to use my vote - let me know

I'm not sure you can raise an issue to be voted on unless you do so some time before the event in order that all members are notified that there was to be such a vote.

True unfortunately. Voting can only be used for something that was already on the agenda, if I understood it correctly.

Unfortunate but also fortunate, otherwise all sorts of stuff could be raised at an AGM without the membership knowing about it and just a few people would get to vote.

    Highjacking can work both ways.

    From the Articles of Association
    18. Any motions for discussion at the annual general meeting not originating from the Board shall be signed by two Full Individual Members entitled to vote in accordance with these Articles and lodged with the Secretary beforesuch date as may be specified by the Board being not more than three and not less than two months before the date of such meeting.
No - just one way! Items from the Board can hijack the meeting except it wouldn't be called "hijacking" it would be called "an appropriate response to special circumstances".
