    Default Hi from Devon

    Hi I'm Andy.

I live in Devon and paddle an Outrage and a Skeeter.

Usually on Rivers like the Dart - Loop and Upper and the Barle - at least when it rains.

Anyone from down this way interested in paddling grade 2/3 with the odd bit of 4 perhaps - Walkham, Tavy, Okement, Teign ?

Welcome along. Your from a nice part of the country.

I think I'll have to practice a bit more before I'm ready for grade 4. Even grade 2/3 come to think of it

    Welcome Andy,

We're not as well represented as our friends elsewhere, but you'll find that there are increasing numbers of SW paddlers here.

Perhaps some sort of SW day out might be in order soon.

You've picked out some nice challenging water there tho'
I'd be ok to a point, but I think the G4 would spit me out.

    Default Barle, Dart etc

    Hi Andy

I love this part of the country and have paddled the Dart and Barle a few times. some of my club were going to the Tavy and the Teign this weekend but cried off... no water unfortunately. all these guys are kayakers so I have to run these rivers on my own. I would love to do it with someone who knows the area well.

Still no water - though it might rain monday and tuesday nights...

We'll have to see if we can arrange something once there's some water in the rivers.

    Hi there,

You mean you need water to paddle .I'm with Magikelly on this one 0 grades and above I usually jump ship one time I didn't but the canoe was upsidedown on that occasion. [andywalker]Still no water - though it might rain monday and tuesday nights...

    Default Water in Scotland

That's great as long as it's still there the week before Easter, when a few of us from south Avon Canoe club are coming up to Roy Bridge to paddle.

    Andy.
