    Default BCU Access Officer?

There was a time when the BCU employed a full time access officer. Andy Green was paid full time to promote and campaign for greater access to the waterways of England and Wales.

He has moved onto pastures new.

It has been sometime since he vacated the post. I have asked CE on facebook when his post would be advertised, so a replacement could be found as expediently as possible.

    No answer.

So could someone with any contacts within the BCU please explain to me why this post is still vacant when we have a River Access Campaign that needs leadership and direction?

The membership of the BCU require greater access to inland water in England and Wales yet the post designed to bring about change is left unfilled.

Has the budget for this role been ring fenced or has the budget gone?

This is good news. I know the BCU have been following our campaign with much interest. i wonder if we have encouraged them to take this step?
