    Default While the Cat's away.......Saturday 27th

I'm on my own for the next 3 w/es. !!!!!

I have something booked for Sunday, but a Saturday paddle would be good. Anybody available? Prefer a shortish day as I have a concert to attend in the evening.

would love to, but ballet with the daughter in newcastle calls this weekend,

w/end of 10/11 feb, definitely if anyone else wants, possibly bits of the orchy?, maybe bottom section of etive? (which is always pretty and 'interesting- providing you remember to portage the 3/4 bit!!), bit of the Tay? or wherever

That's a long way to go for the ballet, but a good call. I'd ballet rather than paddle any day!

The w/e 10/11 is fine for me at this stage, but probably only the Sunday as I anticipate being very tired on Saturday!

This Saturday is still clear for me, but we need a plan. My brain is fried, someone suggest something. I don't mind short / play / training on a river or mini trip (need a short day) or flatwater. Any idea re the expected weather?

Weather looking cloudy with light winds for Saturday.

How short a day are you looking for?

Would probably rather do a river trip but logistics may be tricky ( Tay or Esks, Eden could be different ), how is access on loch Leven at the moment?,

    my brain also fried

I'll have a think over night.

Loch Leven is technically off limits (winter wildfowl) at the moment.

Eden would be nice for a change (never done it) but technically needs a permit from the Rangers as it spills out into a nature reserve. Also would have to get the tide right.

You can think at night? Is that a girlie multitasking thing then? It takes me all my time just to get to sleep.

High tide 08.45 low 14.30, permits could be tricky as well.

Do all my best thinking at night, its just the mornings that come too quickly.

Would love to have come, but child care duties call, and lack of a vehicle.
