    Default hi everybody!

hi everybody, my name is stevo and i live in paisley in the west coast of scotland. i have only played around with open canoes twice but loved it and as a joiner i like the idea of making a stitch and tape canoe. my mates and i love camping and bushcraft and think that with a canoe we can access lots more areas to camp and explore. i have been looking at selway-fisher's 18' guide as a good size for 3 guys plus kit(and dogs) but would welcome advice on any other canoe plans that would do the job.

    cheers, stevo.

    thanx for the warm welcome

i defo fancy a guide 18, i have be looking into it and at 17'8 it is the same lengh as my navara and should take 2 guys, 2 dogs, and our bergens with room to spare if we want to take another guy or the kids.

is there any merit to covering the entire outer hull with glass mat?
