It is a trip I have considered but not done yet. One advantage if the weather gets bad is the ferry back is free

    Default Hello and Welcome

to you,the wee jaunt you aspire to is one i have done many times in a touring kayak and a few times in a sea kayak. Not yet in my open canoe.I have never had even the slightest problems but only paddle this stretch in fair weather.I have always done this solo when it is just you and mother nature, btw the crossing up the road to Dunoon for an ice cream is a different matter though, greatwillie

    Hello, welcome to SOTP.
I am from Millport, the trip you suggest is very do'able on a nice calm day.
PM me if you make plans...

    Default Hi from Lochwinnoch

    Hi 37357,

Welcome aboard. We are based just along the road from you in Lochwinnoch and I work close to you local water, Kilbirnie Loch.

If you fancy joining us for a wee jaunt one evening or at weekends amongst the drainage channels between Castle Semple and the Barr Loch or down to the weir at Howwood then drop us a line.

By the way, what's the meaning behind '37357'?
