    Red face Hi from Kirkintilloch

    Hi all

Got our canoe (old town charles river) last month after getting some great advice and tips on the forum. Been around a few lochs - Ard, Venechar, Chon, Lommond and Lubnig. Brand new to paddling and didn't think i would be able to do it but now wish we'd bought it years ago, having a great time and looking forward to some good camping trips over the summer.

Welcome along from just up the road in Milton of Campsie. Have you been for a paddle on the canal? It is certainly a superb place for a quick evening trip.

Hope to see you sometime on the water.

Hello and welcome! We're not so far away either (Bishopbriggs), so there's a good chance our paths will cross before too long!

Welcome aboard and my I say a fine choice of canoe. Purchased our Charles River in August 09 and like you wished I'd done it years ago. Mrs TS and I can usually be found on the Big Loch pottering around the islands. Hope to see you out there. Oh Mine's is in racing red, weighs a tonne but looks great
