    Hi Amelia

There are a gang of WM paddlers going off to the Dart that weekend, arranged through the bcuwestmidlands forum. So I for one won't be around the Midlands, but I'm sure you would be more than welcome to join us in Devon.

I would be up for that Amelia and I think Jerry Murland would be as well. I was looking at the higher Avon near Warwick. What do you Think.

Sounds good to me - don't know the Avon that far north so I'd be interested to paddle it

I'll probably join you if thats o.k.

Is there an anti-rain dance we can do to bring the water back so we can actually see where the river is supposed to be?!!

Sounds good. Don't suppose you could post a multimap link or directions?

    Default Avon at Warwick

Watch out for the weir at Warwick castle! This section is normally very private and access is only on the day of the Doggy Paddle. The local canoe club posts stewards at the weir to stop anyone getting too close. The few that have got too close have taken a long time to come out of the stopper at the bottom. Portage is on the left on DP days but it can be a bit awkward along with another weir further left.

    Question

    Is this the meeting place?

    Link to Map

Somewhere around where the A425 crosses the Avon?

Yes Ukrols. Just as you go over the bridge near the castle. there is a left turn and a car park on the left.
