Default Sunday on Loch Ard ???????

Anyone fancy Loch Ard on sunday with a wee lunchstop/firestarter in the island bothy ? Or Loch Achray ?

Weather forecast http://www.mwis.org.uk/mountain/SH.PDF is poor and windy, hence the location.

    Thumbs up

Hi Nick. We were planning to paddle Loch Ard or Loch Chon (the puddle!) on Sunday. Weather dependant of course! It would be good to meet up. What time would you be there & where will you put in?

    Hi,

Time would be 10am> and prob put in near the hotel ?
Was gonna check the put-in place within the SCA touring
guide. I think just before the wee village, north shore, there
is a shingle beach. Or easier at MILTON, FC carpark.
I will be solo prob. in my Old town charles
    river. V windy prob.

Kinlochard Village hall at 453 023 gives good access with plenty of parking . Remember to give a donation in the honesty box . I may come along on this one if the dochart is off .

Or the just as the rd nears the wee loch ??

I will bring another pfd if anyone ones to
paddle in the front of my boat. Main aim
for the day - check out the crannog, castle
and bothy for a future trip.

Sounds good. It's blowing a gale out in Lanarkshire today! We'll aim for the grid reference Alan mentioned. The only thing marked on my map there is the school, but then it's only a map!

    11am is just fine.

Great day, thanks to Alan for 'guiding'. Nice wee paddle down from Kinlochard to the rocky island for a snack then thru the narrows and into the wee loch, felt like a wee secret hideaway in there.

Unfortuantely in a *momentary lapse of reason* when trying to push my
boat off the beach I slipped and couped the boat , the bow still on the beach . Soaked Bluecanoe lady.

Rained the last twenty mins. back to the car but perfect weather.

    Cheers Blue canoe(s) and Alan
