    Default Thirlmere.....Sunday 5th Nov.

Will be on Thirlmere Sunday. Plan to be over there about 9.00 - 10.00, never paddled on it before. Gather there are a number of car parks/laybys on the west side.

Thought I would park towards the NW corner and head down towards the couple of islands half way down the lake.

Anyone know the best put in?

If you have a look down the west side of the lake, look for signs for "launchy Gyhll",if I remember you can put in here relatively easy,as the majority of the lake is walled off, also the water level was really low a couple of weeks back so you might have to look for options hope this saves you driving round all morning

Thanks guys, did wonder if it might be low. Worth a scout out anyway for future reference. Can always find something to do in the Lakes.
