Default MR Explorer 15 vs Wenonah Prospector 15?

    A cheeky enquiry........

Does anyone have a MR Explorer 15 I could have a trial paddle of?

I've come to the conclusion that paddling is too important a pastime to give up (however sporadic paddling may be with a very young and expanding family!) and that it is, indeed, a panacea for most things in life. As a result I'm looking at another canoe, this time geared more toward my actual paddling than to 'possible' scenarios.

I'm thinking of a 15' royalex canoe - shortlisted to Wenonah Prospector 15, MR Explorer 15, Bell Yellowstone. My one concern with the Wenonah is the bow/stern height in the wind but having read many reviews (and spoken with owners) that doesn't seem a big problem.

The only one I can't seem to get a trial paddle of is the MR Explorer 15 - anyone know where I might find one for a quick paddle?

    Many thanks.

    Hi Duncan.

I don't have a the above canoes for you to trial. I own a Reflection 15 though that is going to be produced again by Mad River. If you fancy a paddle in that.

It's Royalex Lite and definitely NOT for sale.

I did my 4 star training in it quite happily.

Glad to have you back in the land of the living. (Paddling)

We'll be in Cardiff for the Outdoor Action show, 3rd weekend in June, with our entire demo fleet (including the Explorer 15, Legends and Reflections). I appreciate it's a bit of a drag from Sussex but if you come along I'm sure you will have more than enough time to have a try.

    Cheers

I'll actually be over Swansea way on Friday (15th) so I'll give you a buzz as I don't think I can make the June event.....
