Default Hello from the Great White North

Hello to all accross the pond and here in the Great White North. Great Forum you've got running; don't do much of this surfing but enjoy the canoe topics immensely and also to see that their is are like minded communities the world over -good on you!

Canoe paddled: any one gracefully leaned over smoothwater mist at dawn.

Canoe read: Rt. Hon Pierre Elliott Trudeau: "Exhaustion and Fulfillment: The Ascetic in a Canoe" - "I know a man whose school could never teach him patriotism, but who acquired that virtue when he felt in his bones the vastness of his land, and the greatness of those who founded it."

Hello and welcome to Song of the Paddle. Glad you like the site and hope we can tempt you to surf a bit more often

It is always good to hear the thoughts on canoeing from across the pond.

My friend Tim just moved out your way; actually he is in Grand Prairie working as a fire fighter in the oil patch. He didn't take his canoe with him but with the money boom out there he will probably come home with five new ones.

Good to see another Canuck out and about... someone who will get the roll up the rim to win jokes anyhow.
