    Default Hello from Chrish

From reading some of the other intros, I've found this site in the same way in that I'm new into canoeing from a long layoff from kayaking (or canoeing as it used to be known). Usual reasons or buying house, wife, kids, job, other interests etc.. At the moment I'm looking to get a boat and am looking at the Novacraft Prospector 16. This is where this site excels in general discussion by users and not sales brochures.

I stay in Milton of Campsie and spend my days working in Glasgow and spare time sailing, climbing, skiing and being dads taxi to two kids. I look forward to meeting others out on the water next year.

Many thanks for the good site.

    Chris

    Welcome along.

You do realise that once you've started canoeing there won't be any spare time for anything else . I hope your kids get into it too.

Nova craft prospector looks like a good boat, we've got the wenonah prospector and have been very happy with it and do everything from solo day trips to family of four camping trips ( could do with being a bit bigger for those though)

Hope to see you out on the water soon .

We have two other members very, very close to Milton of Campsie. Looks like you could have a local chapter of SotP.

There are also lots of meets ups in the area that you should be able to get too so I am sure we will meet on the water soon.

    Welcome again

Contact has been made and the MoC Chapter has been formed.

Now, we need a chapter badge / logo .......

Don't worry, we're already in the middle of the badge/logo discussion.
