    Default Hi from the borders

Just thought I'd say hi, been lurking for a while and finally decided to join the fun! I' currently working at an activity centre and although I don't own a canoe yet I have access to a good few.
Been paddling for a few years and the being in an open boat. Just done my 2* and foundation safety and rescue courses this week and doing my level 1 coach next! fun fun fun!
Unfortunately means I have to paddle a kayak as well but it's certainly not my boat of choice.
Hoping to get the wife out paddling soon as well specially as we can borrow boats and both solo.
Anyway, good to meet you guys, it's been great reading posts and reading others ideas etc. and look forward to contributing my own thoughts too.

    Welcome, welcome

Quite a few members around the borders & East Lothian so there's folk to come out & play with, and plenty of good rivers. So have fun

    Default Welcome

Doesn't matter what you paddle, as long as you paddle.

Congratulations on the Level 1 - well done!
I'm twenty minutes up the road from you at Kielder, so I'm sure we'll get the chance to meet up for a paddle sometime.
