    Default Newbie from Canada

I am from the Kootenay region of British Columbia. I have been paddling since my twenties and enjoy doing all sorts of things out in the bush. The last two years or so Iíve been doing multi day trips. Last year I did the Bowron Canoe Circuit in nine days and had a blast. I plan on doing it again as well as other routes in B.C. Because my body will not let me paddle much any more, Iíve put oar locks on all of my canoes and find that it works well for me. It is slower but I can do it, and get a great view of where I been on flat water. On rivers I do it drift boat stile, so I can see where Iím going and miss the rocks, trees, and make it around the next corner. Iíve enjoyed reading the forms as I am gearing up for a great time all summer long. Tom.

Welcome. It is a fantastic part of the world that you live in. Have enjoyed a splash on the Kootenay many years ago and also paddled the Bowron Lake Circuit in the rain. Astounding scenery.
Paddling with rowlocks sound interesting. Look forward to pictures from your part of the world.
