Default Hi you got me !

    Hi
Ive been lurking as they say and youve lured me in .
    Little bit of background......
Had a kayak about 15 years ago but went on to windsurfing and sold it on.
Forward a few years and bought an open boat (Pelican Colorado ) to take the kids up the Essex Stour, had a few good trips but never used it solo.

That was sold to gain space but always regretted it

Two years ago got another kayak (which just fits in the roof space of garage) and very occasionally go out solo.
Which is when I first found this site and rekindled ? my interest and stupid decision to sell my old open.
Cut a l.ong story short I'm now proud owner of an Old Town Guide 147 albeit S/H and a bit scratched which I hope I will be able to use solo now and again.
Hope fully meet some of you on my local river ( Stour) sometime soon, in fact I'll be going this Sunday if its dry
Thanks for letting me on board and all that info I've gleaned.

"Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated". You heard 'the Call' - you TRIED to fight it. It's not your fault - you did your best. There's nothing left but just to enjoy yourself HUGELY in that Guide 147. Welcome.

    Default Welcome

Doesn't matter what you paddle, as long as you paddle.

May the gentleness of morning, greet your silent passage through endless waters...

May all your winds be gentle. And for ww - May it rain the night before.
