Do I detect a note of scorn?

We own a pair exactly like those pictured - and a row rig. Work great on Lake Superior, with a skirt, for big seas, or for casting for fish from the canoe. I fasten a piece of plywood from gunnel to gunnel and, with the stabalizers, two of us can stand up on the plywood and cast.

I only use them about twice a year, but for the right application, they are a great tool.

70 pounds? If the shipping wouldn't kill me - I'd buy them at that price. I paid $125 for a used set - six years ago.
