I know that boat looks a bit of a mess...

...but as our Osprey is not seaworthy....



...Im thinking that it would make a very good project for the kids to repair...



I am thinking of talking with the Harbourmaster, as hes most likely to know the rules.



It would be good if I could just claim it as salvage, but I somehow doubt it could be that simple.




Getting it out could be a bit of a mare as its full of water and probably quite heavy.

I suppose I couldnt just shove it on our canoe trailer.

Ran a couple of short errands and its varnished and stinking up my kitchen with my last creation.



Seems the kitchen didnt smell bad enough.

The wife asked him if he would glue the picture frames together that he made for her for xmas.



They are dribbling glue on my kitchen worktop.



As soon as they dried, he put some of my nice stainless screws intothe frames with some of my whipping thread to hang them on. Grrr...



Pigging teenagers.

Seems they are now waiting for some more glue they put somewhere else to dry.



I managed to miss whatever it was they glued.

But did manage to beat tehm both at pool :)

Ive cut the hole through the tarp with the other end of the drift, now Im about to hammer the eyelet in...

Elastic loops in, and its done. The lumps under the cover are where the boat supports are screwed on...

We are lifting the table top so Piglet can go under it...



Just dropped off Piglet.

Need him to spend a little time trying it to work out exactly where he needs the seats, the front compartment, the reinforcement for the stern and exactly how he needs the trailer top sorted so that he doesnt rip the tarp.

Then I will have it back for a couple more days...

And the wind managed to push this cover off so that the rain could get into the joint...



And the wind managed to blow the cover off the canoes and the woodstack underneath is soaked..



There is 4 inches of water under my new bench...



It even managed to get the felt off the shed roof and flood that too.



Its almost managed to collapse the covers on the trampoline, and smash all the poles...



Even Good Idea is full of water!

Stupid here left the back of Piglets trailer down, so thats flooded out too.

Hes right handed. Ive always insisted that they change hands each time they pick up a tool so they dont struggle when they are limited on space.

The only way to dry the sheets is to pull the stack apart and separate all the sheets and let them air dry.



Well, actually, that does damage the sheets as they are inclined to warp as they dry out again, making them a pig to use.



Trying to drag them into shape as you form a hull out of them can be a real pain - if not impossible too.

The sheets that have got wet will only be good for breast hooks and seats etc...

Balls. Just skidded over in the mud trying to get the covers back on.

Look like a mud ball now.
